Company Culture

The culture of World Computers is very much the Professional Culture . As such the staff are expected to :-

  1. think freely and think for themselves . Be able to think outside the loop - outside of the box - and to have perspective . To think objectively and to be objective .
  2. be emotionally self secure . To base themselves on internals - not externals . Not to introduce personal aspects into the workplace at the expense of their work .
  3. not involve themselves in personalities and poilitics . To not push personal or political agendas .
  4. concentrate on the job . To be able to work with other staff on a colaborative basis .
  5. not be tribal . To have their loyalty to be to the company as a whole . To always act in the best interests of the company .
  6. not to be collectivist - to treat people as individuals .
  7. act morally . To be just and fair . To always act with integrity and propriety . To have good moral character .
  8. adhere to truth . The pursuance of objective , external and independent truths .
  9. be values based . To have good judgement - both personally and professionally .
  10. be civilised . To be polite and considerate . To be well presented - well dressed . Not to have bad personal habits , bad personal hygene etc. .
  11. be simple but sophisticated - to think out designs properly . To not be simplistic .
  12. be able to handle responsibility and to act with responsibility .
  13. to progressively evolve . Not to create bubbles - artificial situations which set up for mass extinction events .
  14. not mix their personal lives with their professional lives . To not compomise their work situation or that of their fellow staff . To not ' screw the crew ' - in all senses of the word .

The company culture is essentially communitarian - "we are all in it together" - individuals existing as individuals , individuals supporting communities , communities supporting individuals , communities supporting communities . As such it is not tribal - the "us and them" - the fascism - and it is not collectivist - the group think - "the individual doesn't exist as an entity" - the communism . There are no prima donnas , no sacred cows and no gutter crawlers . There is just professional , responsible management .
